THe #76 7TSIX McLaren of Mia Flewitt and Euan Hankey has topped the leaderboard at the end of Free Practice One, with #51 Valluga Racing Porsche of Ross Wylie and Matthew Graham taking leading the GT4 class.
Lewis and Stewart Proctor were in second driving their #5 Greystone GT McLaren, and were followed closely behind by the #75 2 Seas Motorsport of Jonny Adam and Flick Haigh. Jamie Day and Josh Miller finished second in the GT4 class in their #23 R Racing Aston Martin, 0.2 seconds behind the class leaders.
Flewitt led early in the session with her #76 7TSIX McLaren setting the pace ahead of James Dorlin in the #32 Redline Racing Lamborghini and Morgan Tillbrook in the #77 Enduro Motorsport McLaren after the opening fifteen minutes.
Jamie Day was the early pacesetter in the GT4 class, with his #23 R Racing Aston Martin ahead of the #27 Newbridge Motorsport Aston Martin, with Matt Topham on board for the opening stint.
At the half-hour mark, Flewitt remained at the top of the leaderboard but the #5 Greystone GT McLaren of Lewis Proctor was only 0.054 seconds behind. The #75 2 Seas Motorsport Mercedes, driven by Jonny Adam set a very strong lap time to take him temporarily second, before Flick Haigh took over, with Stewart Proctor taking over control of the #5 Greystone GT McLaren.
Valluga Racing took over control of the GT4 class leaderboard, with their fastest lap coming on their tenth trip around the historic circuit, with Matthew Graham setting the pace in the #51 Porsche.
It was a difficult session for the #66 Team Parker Racing Porsche as they were forced to sit the majority of the session out with a “mechanical gremlin” but still managed seven laps before the issue occurred.
As the drivers entered the final ten minutes of the session, Flewitt was still out front, with Ross Wylie now on board the #51 Valluga Racing Porsche. Lap times weren’t improved upon as the session reached a conclusion, with focus now switching to the second practice session later in the day.
Free Practice Two beings at 12:05pm UK time.
