Red Bull Racing has unveiled its challenger for the 2023 Formula One season. The second team on the grid to reveal their car, the RB19 was shown off at the Red Bull Season Launch in New York City. Built to defend both the drivers’ Championship won in 2021 and 2022, and the Constructor’s Championship in 2022, Red Bull will be hungry for more success on the track in the upcoming season.
Drivers Max Verstappen and Sérgio Perez were present at the launch, with team principal Christian Horner making an appearance too. Third driver, Daniel Ricciardo also made an appearance in his new role.
Although the show didn’t reveal the true RB19, the team announced new sponsorships with ROKT and after 2026, Ford. They also informed fans of a brand-new idea, involving those that want to show off their art skills, with the chance to design a livery for each of the three races in the US, as the sport continues to grow in the States.
“The growth of our sport in America cannot be ignored, there are over 50 million F1 fans in the USA, of which 72% follow us, and the way the fans have embraced our Team here has been very special to see,” said Horner.
“At Oracle Red Bull Racing we always strive to do things first and do things differently. This is the first time we have launched our season outside of the UK and the first time any F1 Team has launched in the USA.”
The team will have a shakedown of their car before testing begins in Bahrain on February 23rd.
