Pre-Season testing for the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship will take place at the Bahrain International Circuit on the 26th, 27th and 28th February 2025, the FIA and Formula One has announced.
The new season will begin in Melbourne on the 14th-16th March 2025, as previously announced when the calendar for the new season was released in April.
This will be the sixth time that the circuit will have hosted the pre-season test since 2009, with the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya previously hosting the test prior to the Covid-19 pandemic.
F1 has also confirmed that a significant percentage of the freight will remain at the circuit ahead of it hosting the fourth round of the season in April. China and Japan will host races between the Bahrain Grand Prix and the season opener Australian Grand Prix.
The circuit has been on the Formula One calendar since 2004 and there has been nine different winners, but it is probably most memorable for recent fans of the sport for the crash which Romain Grojsean had in 2020.
