The British-based team TF Sport has announced today that they’ll be swapping their Aston Martin for two Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R’s for the 2024 WEC season.
TF Sport has been partnered with Aston Martin since the team’s creation in early 2014, and success has followed since with championships in British GT, Blancpain Endurance Cup, FIA WEC, and wins at the Le Mans 24 Hours and the Spa 24 Hours.
Corvette has always been a team with massive success in the 24 Hours of Le Mans with eight wins at the famous event, with the manufactures most recent being in this year’s edition of the 24 Hours.
TF Sport is also a team that knows how to achieve success at the Le Mans 24-hours, with wins at the famous French race in 2020 and 2022 in the GTE AM class, showing they are an accomplished team themselves.
Chris Bagne Corvette Z06 GT3.R Program Manager is excited to welcome TF Sport:
“We are excited to welcome TF Sport to the Corvette Racing family. Tom Ferrier and his organization showcase the elements we were looking for in a team to run our Corvette Z06 GT3.R in the FIA WEC – a first-class operation, strong collaboration, and a history of success. We look forward to working with Tom and his team to make the Z06 GT3.R a success in the WEC and at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2024 and beyond.”
Director of TF Sport Tom Ferrier is thrilled by the opportunity:
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to represent such an iconic brand on the world stage. Corvette Racing has an immense history at Le Mans and we will be looking to continue that run of success. I’d like to thank everyone at Aston Martin Racing for the support and success we have had over the past six years and seven Le Mans but now I feel the time is right for a new challenge in the WEC. We still have a job to do in this year’s WEC now lying second in the championship and will give it our all to finish on a high.”
